Stump removal raises plenty of questions, and that’s normal. Call us for a free consultation on the best way to get your stump out.

The ground right around the stump needs to be clear of debris before grinding begins. Rocks are the big one, since they make the work unsafe if they’re left in place.

Depth is up to you. Woods Stump Removal grinds a minimum of 6” below grade and up to 24” below grade, based on what you plan to do with the area after the stump is ground out.

Your yard gets treated like our own. Each job site is cleaned up and blown clean afterward, so it’s turn-key for you when we drive off, with no raking left on your end.
Need a free estimate? Curious about the process, or want us out to look at the project in person? A phone call or text is all it takes.
We fit the work around your calendar and pick a time that’s best for you.
Quotes are custom, built for each customer’s needs. Every job is different, so “one size fits all” pricing just doesn’t work.
After the job’s agreed on, we lock in a date and time that suits you.

Yanking a stump out with a truck, excavator or whatever’s handy leaves a far bigger hole and mess, because the roots usually come up with it. And those roots can run 10, 20, even 30ft underground from the stump. What you’re left with is a torn-up section of yard that’s much larger than anything grinding would cause.
Grinding is a lot more precise. We take a surgical approach that kills the stump and roots, so shoots stop popping up in the lawn, and the rest of your yard stays in one piece.
